New Mexico will be well represented inside the UFC Octagon this Friday June 8th in Fort Lauderdale FL on the UFC on FX 3 event headlined by Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall. 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Santa Fe NM/Jackson's trained Henry Martinez will take on Bernardo Magahaes in a Lightweight match-up, Buddy Roberts who also trains out of Jackson's MMA will take on Calo Magalhaes in a Light Heavyweight bout. FIT/NHB Tim Means will take on Justin Salas in a Lightweight bout and finally Jackson's vet Leonard Garcia will take on Matt Grice in a Featherweight bout. Fire Fighter Vincent C. Fundraising Event set

Come support Vincent Cordova as he battles yet another fire in his life. Vincent, a local firefighter, was recently diagnosed with a rare brain tumor that effects only 2% of the population. Due to the rarity of his ailment he must travel out of state to have it removed. As one can imagine this is both a costly and lengthy procedure. In an attempt to help raise money a impromptu party at Elliott's will be held this Saturday. There will be a $5 cover at the door and all proceeds go to Vincent and his cause.
